A Two-in-One Conference

Following the success of The Global Tourism & Hospitality Conference held in 2014, The 2nd Global Tourism & Hospitality Conference will be hosted and organized by the School of Hotel and Tourism Management of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University on 16-18 May 2016 in Hong Kong. It will be held concurrently with the 15th Asia Pacific Forum for Graduate Students Research in Tourism (APF). This two-in-one conference will serve as an important networking platform for education, students and industry practitioners to exchange insights related to innovations, trends, opportunities and challenges of global tourism and hospitality.

Global Tourism & Hospitality Conference and Asia Tourism Forum

(Global 2014 & 11th ATF)

In 2012, the 11th Asia Pacific Forum (APF) for Graduate Students Research in Tourism  and International Convention & Expo Summit 2012 (ICES), was organised by the SHTM with a theme “Initiate Connecting Opportunities Now!”.

In 2014, Global Tourism & Hospitality Conference and Asia Tourism Forum (Global 2014 & 11th ATF) took the theme “Charting the New Path: Innovations in Tourism and Hospitality – INNOVATIONS ∙ RESEARCH ∙ EDUCATION”, was organised by the SHTM jointly with the Taylor & Francis Group.

 

The 2nd Global Tourism & Hospitality Conference

 

This conference will provide a platform for academics, policy makers, thought leaders, researchers and industry practitioners to exchange dialogue related to issues, opportunities and challenges the world’s tourism and hospitality industry is facing.  The two-in-one conference and will be held at Hotel ICON, the state-of-the-art teaching and research hotel of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. 

 

The 15th Asia Pacific Forum for Graduate Students Research in Tourism

 

The aim of  APF is to provide a “research forum” for post-graduate students and faculty members engaged in research and post-graduate education in hospitality and tourism in the Asia Pacific region. The forum focuses to facilitate the exchange of information through research and networking amongst forum participants to foster collaborative research and academic exchanges.
